Bank Swallow These days, keeping a good set of links on a topic as wide as birding takes a bit of forethought. Just think of all the areas to cover: bird taxa, local birding sites, ecology, population studies, physiology, politics, conservation, migration studies, clubs.... well, you get the point! The Birder Home Page One of the really big sites; it has its own chat group. Birdnet is a service of the Ornithological Council, a public information organization involving eight North American Professional Ornithological Societies. The Virtual Birder Lots of everything here. One of the best. Cornell Lab of Ornithology The Cornell Lab of Ornithology is an international center for the study, appreciation, and conservation of birds.
