Madison County Nature Trail, in Huntsville, AL

Located atop Green Mountain, the Nature Trail has a 17 acre lake, plus some hiking trails; the longest is about 1 1/2 miles. It's a good place to see warblers & woodpeckers, plus an occasional heron and kingfisher, too. Here are some photos taken on a cool drizzly day. Those are Canada Geese and Mallards, mostly. The covered bridge is a very good place for watching the aquatic turtles.
